With the recent release of “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, Marvel fans are getting into heated debates surrounding which actor plays the perfect Peter Parker. Since 2002, Spider-Man has been played by three different actors: Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and now Tom Holland. Each of these Spider-men have introduced their own spin on the character, making it difficult to pick a favorite. People all over the web have discussed different factors to determine who is the best. But who will the Dubs choose as their preferred Peter Parker?

As Tobey Maguire was the original Spider-Man actor, he has earned a loyal fanbase over the years. Being the first, Maguire created the guide for every other Spider-Man to follow, and he set the expectations high. He portrayed Peter’s nerdy persona perfectly and even had organic web-shooters that were unique to his character. Junior Caroline Clippinger is one of the many who are on team Tobey. “Tobey Maguire is obviously the most iconic of all of the Spider-Man actors. I respect Andrew and Tom, but they’ll never match up to the original Web-Head,” she said. 

Andrew Garfield is definitely a fan favorite, being the Amazing Spider-Man in the 2012 and 2014 Spider-Man movies. Garfield’s character arguably had the best Spider-Man suit and presented Spider-Man extremely well with his confidence and energetic personality. Junior Brett McPherson has mixed feelings about the three actors. “I think Andrew Garfield was definitely the best Spider-Man out of the three, but I think Tobey and Tom played Peter Parker better because they showed his nerdy side.”

Being the most recent Spider-Man, Tom Holland has a plethora of faithful supporters on his side. Many Marvel fans agree that Tom Holland has mastered the balance between Peter Parker and Spider-Man. Since his debut in “Captain America: Civil War”, Holland has charmed the marvel universe with his eager attitude and intense dedication to helping others. Junior Alexandra Golomb is a die-hard Tom Holland fan. “Tom Holland is without a doubt the best Spider-Man and Peter Parker. He’s a perfect balance of cool and nerdy, which is crucial for his character,” she said.

It’s safe to say that all three Spider-Man actors have their flaws and perks. But no matter which actor you prefer, each of them have contributed their own unique twists to the character that can’t be replicated. These character differences can be seen in the new “Spider-Man: No Way Home” movie, where all of their contrasting identities are thrown together in one Spider-Verse.
