Prom 2017: Warriors Ready to Enter “The Enchanted Castle”
The countdown has begun and it’s moving pretty fast. Are you ready for the most thrilling, memorable, and elegant night of your life? Well juniors and seniors, get ready, because it’s right around the corner.
This year’s prom is being held at The St. Regis Hotel, in the heart of Buckhead, this Saturday, April 15, at 7 p.m. If you haven’t already paid for your way in, tickets are on sale for $185 or $200 at the door.
If North Atlanta students love castles and fairytales, then they definitely should attend this year’s prom. The theme is “Enchanted Castle,” a name given for its elegance and fancy aura that will keep students mesmerized all night. As if it could get any better than that, be on the lookout for their show-stopping balloon arch and eye-catching centerpieces placed on every table.
It looks like everything is under control when it comes to making this prom a success. The planning process is going as smooth as it should be, and the details are getting closer and closer to being finalized down to the tee. Everyone’s been keeping count of all the romantic promposals that swarm the North Atlanta halls and the hearts of its bystanders.
All prom-goers should note that a behavior contract is required for picking up prom tickets. Under the contract, students had to agree to follow state laws as it relates to under-age drinking and illegal substances. Further, prom-goers were also notified there will be a breathalyzer at the event to check any suspicious behavior.
This year’s prom will be bigger and better. The décor budget was increased a little and it definitely will show. Also, lookout for the many buffet styled food stations that will be calling your name as soon as you walk in the door. When senior Kyra Vandiver was prompted to give some advice to all of the future prom-goers, her words were simple: “You just have to be there to see it. I can promise you that it’s going to be great,” she said.
This year’s prom will be a must-attend event. Dresses, shoes, ties, tuxes, hair, makeup, limos, after-parties, corsages, nails, selfies. It’s all part of the scene and you’re going to want to be there.
