Junior Taylor Diamond has revealed an artistic personality that is admired by many. He’s a multi-talented soul who loves film, works in theater, and appreciates the more rugged aspects of life like camping. In short, he is a high school renaissance man.

His interest in film and theater started during his middle school years where he acted in school plays at Sutton Middle School. His renown as a high-school-aged thespian has been noted by The Buckhead Reporter which recently tapped him for its prestigious youth community leader award called “20 under 20” award.

Diamond was a lead in last spring’s musical “Little Shop of Horrors” where he played a sadistic dentist. This spring he’s also landed a lead in North Atlanta’s production of “Rent” which will premiere in May. Outside of school, he’s involved in FabreFaction, a teen acting troupe. “Some of my best friends are people that I have met in doing theater performances and I’m thankful for all the experiences I’ve had over the past couple years,” he said.

One of his more prominent achievements occurred in the fall in the North Star Talent Show. Diamond, who is musically gifted and an accomplished drummer, played the drum parts from Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight.”

In addition to Diamond’s outstanding accomplishments, he has been able to maintain honor roll grades and achieve the Eagle Scout honor during his high school career. “I love doing what I do. Whether it’s theater or film, everything I do is a huge part of me,” said Diamond.

Whether he takes part the future in a feature film in Hollywood or in a play on Broadway, it seems obvious that this diamond is going to be shining bright for a long time.
