The North Atlanta Warriors beat the KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors in non-league play last Thursday by the score of 13-10 at Grady Stadium.

North Atlanta surmounted a ten-point halftime deficit and surprised many by shutting down KIPP’s prolific senior running back Otis Odom, who was averaging over ten yards per carry. North Atlanta’s impressive defensive performance stuffed him to only four yards a carry. “After the half, we realized what we needed to do and what KIPP’s game plan was,” said Junior Jeffery Wood. “We gave them no mercy and started playing our game, not theirs.”

North Atlanta, now 1-1, will prepare for their challenge against Dunwoody. The team will look to continue their success against the Wildcats, who come into the AAAAAA Region 7 challenge with a 1-1 record, as well. Prepare for it to be a battle between the trenches.
