Football is always interesting. But it gets really interesting when the Warriors take on … the Warriors! Yes: You read it right. North Atlanta’s next football opponent is the Warriors from KIPP Atlanta Collegiate. The two similarly titled teams will match up at Grady Stadium at 7:30 p.m.

The North Atlanta football team will try to bounce back after a tough loss last game versus Grady. They have been practicing hard and going over tape, as well as a Midnight Madness practice that the team found useful and motivating.

North Atlanta was victorious last year in the matchup of the Warriors by a score of 30 to 21. However, KIPP started this year off strong with a 47 to 0 win over Fulton Leadership Academy and a 14 to 8 win over North Springs. KIPP will come into the game confident and North Atlanta will be ready to counterattack that. With KIPP being a run-heavy team, North Atlanta should be cautious of senior running back Otis Odom, who has averaged 10.7 yards per carry this season.

North Atlanta goes into the game as the favorite, being the higher rated team, but not by much. KIPP will be looking to leapfrog North Atlanta in the rating. They will not be an easy opponent. Expect a nail biter when the Warriors take on the Warriors.
