Filled with adventure and drama, Outer Banks is a staple television series to many young adults. With part two of season four’s recent release, fans are still crying about the tragedies that occurred.

Piper Curnow, a junior at North Atlanta, has been a die-hard fan of the show since its release in 2020. The romance between the characters along with the adventurous nature of the plot creates the perfect “binge” show. She finds herself completely immersed in the treasure hunts and dramatic twists that keep the story exciting. However, like in many shows, girls love gossiping about the characters. “The show is just perfect,” said Curnow. “Mainly because of JJ.”
Mary Woodward, a senior at North Atlanta, is also a die-hard fan and finished the entire season the day it came out! For her, the combination of drama, mystery, and the camaraderie among the Pogues is what makes the show so captivating. “The twists and turns always keep you on your toes,” said Woodward. “But honestly, the way Sarah and John B’s relationship has evolved is what keeps me hooked. It’s the heart of the show for me.”
Zack Chewning is a sophomore at North Atlanta who mainly watches the show for the action. From the intense treasure hunts to the high-stakes chases, the action-packed scenes are what draw him in. He finds that every episode offers some new thrill, whether it’s a fight, a boat chase, or a guy named Topper starting more drama. Although the romance doesn’t catch his interest as much, he appreciates the group dynamic of the Pogues and how they always manage to escape seemingly impossible situations.“It’s the kind of show that makes you want to keep watching no matter how late it gets,” said Chewning.
With the release of part two of season four, the hype for Outer Banks is officially back, and students could not be more excited. Whether they are drawn to the romance, JJ Maybank, Sarah Cameron, or here for the action, fans agree that this season has delivered everything they love about the show and more. It is clear that Outer Banks has once again captured the hearts of North Atlanta students.
