For some people, dogs are their best friends who spend time with them day and night. For others, dogs are hairy animals that trout their way around the house and aren’t let on the couch. Depending on how you treat your puppy, it may depict the relationship they strive to have with you. “A man’s best friend” comes from the heart, but is it true for everyone?
Of course, dogs come and go faster than we would ever please. But making the best of the time you have is what’s most important. A true best friend clicks right away, that’s the joy a precious canine brings to our hearts. The love they bring to us is unconditional and should never go unnoticed. Senior athlete Hudson Thomas knows the love he receives from his dog is priceless. “There is nothing better than coming home from a long day of school and opening the door to a warm welcoming of my furry friend,” Thomas said. “I know he will be anxiously awaiting my return every time I leave the house.”
Canines can definitely be a hassle sometimes. It isn’t unusual for your loyal companion to act like a lap dog despite its mighty size, or decide to act like a food fanatic and beg you for all you have. Despite these exertions of our puppies to bother us, having someone to accompany you through a meal even when you are home alone is a gift. Junior Julia Havey makes a strong effort to wrath when her 5-star meal is interrupted. She quickly resorts to the soft spot in her heart for her best friend. “The hot breath pounding on my leg at the dinner table orders for an encounter of tough love for my best friend,” Havey said.
Dogs are loyal; loving; and attentive, does this make them a true best friend? Junior athlete Rand Kirsch wouldn’t trade his puppy in for a diamond ring. He has two dogs and claims for them to be his best friends and most loyal companions. The time that they have spent together is priceless and he admires them as if they were human. “From teaching them not to eat my socks to teaching him how to do tricks such as opening a door, every second of our journey has been cherished with my best friend,” said Kirsch.
It’s safe to say that canines are not only furry creatures that make their way around the house and play with toys, they have special relationships with their owners that are full of priceless love.
