From the Chick-fil-A bags to Dunkin’ cups scattered throughout the halls and the newest clothing trends worn by students, it’s clear that it wouldn’t hurt the Dubs to have a few hacks for securing a new outfit or treat without breaking the bank. Of course, everyone’s heard of those secret ways to bypass paying for products at retail and restaurant franchises, but who’s to say if they are true?
While Dunkin might be ideal for a quick wake-me-up, some believe the real magic happens at night. Rumor has it that hitting up Dunkin at closing is the secret to getting a free sweet treat, or an entire box of them. After further experimentation, Lauren and Ann Clay found the gossip true. They arrived just before the sign flipped to “Closed” and made their way to the counter. Despite receiving dirty looks, they kept their delicious vision in mind and popped the question. The worker reluctantly flipped open a box and pointed to the array of donuts. The two went wild, filling the box with their favorites: pink sprinkled, classic glazed, and raspberry-filled. One thing led to another, and they secured themselves two full boxes of heavenly donuts.
With Atlanta being the honorable home of the chicken sandwich, it’s no shock that the dubs are Chick-fil-A fiends. From pre-game meals to mid-school-day cravings supplied by Doordash, Chick-fil-A is any student’s meal of choice. Recently there has been buzz around school that saying Chick-Fil-A workers’ notable phrase, ‘’My pleasure,’’ is a tactic to secure free food. Could this hack be a loophole to “Eat Mor Chikin?” Lauren tested this theory when paying for her meal by blurting “my pleasure” after the worker thanked her for her card. But it was clear from his puzzled expression that he was thrown off by her response as he gave the card back. Unfortunately, Lauren did not leave the drive-through with that extra chicken sandwich she had hoped for.
‘’Be all in.’’ The slogan of the infamous, luxury athletic brand, Lululemon. It’s no secret that NAHS’s hallways are a fashion show for Lululemon’s overpriced attire. Yet, supposedly this price tag pays for itself through Lululemon’s exchange policy to swap out damaged items for new ones. To take matters into her own hands, Ann Clay walked into Lululemon, torn leggings in hand, in hopes of securing a new pair. Surprisingly, after explaining the situation, Ann Clay was guided to the notorious wall of leggings where she got to pick out a fresh pair.
Although your wallet may not catch a break at Chick-fil-A, these insider tips at Lululemon and Dunkin allow students to save money while still keeping up with trends and cravings.
