Offensive MVP: Henry Debardelaben
After a handful of weeks of resting an injured ankle and easing back into action, #6 Henry “Deebo” Debardelaben seemed as if he was shot out of a cannon. Rushing for 88 yards on only 6 carries (15 yards per carry), Deebo made it home for 2 touchdowns.
“I wake up in the morning and I exude excellence. Before the game, I like to get in the headspace that nobody can hang with my stuff. Shake and bake baby,” said Deebo.
Defensive MVP: Chase Linton
Second on the team with 5 total tackles, Linton added to this tally with a tackle for loss, a sack, and his first career interception/interception taken for a touchdown. The interception raised the tally of defensive points to 8 after the first-quarter safety.
“I’ve been swatting passes for years, it’s nice to finally catch one. With that being said, deep down in my heart I’m a tight end. I miss my glory days playing there,” said Linton.
Play of the Game:
Sophomore nose tackle/defensive tackle Sebastian Myles perfectly reads a screen pass, reaching into the air and snatching the ball to make an incredible 1 handed grab for the first of 2 big man interceptions.
Week 6 Preview:
After the threat of Hurricane Helene pushed the week 6 matchup against Alpharetta High School back to October 18th, the Warriors are looking to put points on the board. Looking forward to a new opponent in Lambert High School, the Warriors prepare for their biggest challenge since week 1 against Kell. Lambert boasts a 3-2 record, with wins over formidable region opponents in West and North Forsyth. If North Atlanta can find victory in this thrilling region faceoff, it could set the stage for a potential region championship.
