As fall begins to creep up and homework piles up, every student leans on to their TV shows to give them those cozy vibes and help them get through their school work. Everyone has a show they can’t stop watching, whether it is a startling thriller or the classic love triangle. To find out what the Dubs are watching, students were asked for their go-to fall series and luckily, these recommendations have a little something for everyone!
Romance:
Junior Gianna Hinojosa: Gilmore Girls
“This is just the ultimate fall show like everyone puts this on when they see a leaf fall. The small town just gives off a homey vibe and every scene just oozes out fall. Rory Gilmore also makes me want to be productive as she constantly does her homework.”
Freshman Liza Mann: One Tree Hill
“I watch this show throughout the year, but I especially love to watch it during the fall. The fashion in the show gets me excited to dress cute with the colder weather coming and the Halloween episodes are always the best, from the drama to the costumes.”
Horror:
Senior Sydney Delwell: Criminal Minds
“I look forward to coming home after school and just curl up in bed to do my homework and watch Criminal Minds. Criminal Minds is the ultimate fall show as it’s kinda creepy, at least most episodes, and especially the fashion in the show is very fall-y and it gets me so excited.”
Freshman Margaret Greer: Wednesday
“Fall symbolizes comedy and scary movies to me and Wednesday is just the perfect mix between the two. With the use of scary plot twists and kinda cringey jokes, it just gets me in the best mood for the colder weather and especially Halloween.”
Sitcom:
Junior Yara Kooshkabdi: My Babysitter’s a Vampire
“It’s a Canadian show and Fall in Canada is just perfect and beautiful, from what I have heard. It’s a show filled with vampires and werewolves so it gets me so excited for Halloween and the “spooky season”. Whenever September hits, I immediately start binge-watching this show, getting excited to wear my Halloween costume and just enjoy the fall vibes.”
Junior Brooke Hill: Just Add Magic
“Such an underrated fall show, full of magic and cool spells, taking place in a warm bakery and the most calming music. It is just a relaxing show that I love to watch every year, since I was 11 when school starts and summer slips away, getting me excited for the upcoming fall events.”
Students at North Atlanta have a wonderful taste! As leaves start falling and students start reminiscing about fall break, it is important to have a fun show to get excited for the fall activities and lean on when the homework starts to stack up. Whether you like messy drama or childhood nostalgia, there is something on that list for everyone. If you are ever lost on what to make your next watch, your fellow student’s recommendations are the perfect place to pick up a new show, pop popcorn, and enjoy the fall vibes.
