The beloved country superstar Zach Bryan has done it again. His self-titled album, released in August of 2023, dazzled fans with the arrival of numerous stand-out songs. His carefully crafted music, articulate word choice, and captivating melodies have drawn people in, with all 16 songs of the album immediately soaring to the top of the charts. Alongside the album release, Bryan announced he’s heading out on a massive tour in 2024, keeping fans excited and anticipating what is next for the country star.
One student indulging in this country craze is senior Dylan Toliver, a long-standing fan of the artist. Having attended previous concerts of his, she is fully aware of the magic of seeing Bryan live, and following the release of his new album, her desire to get tickets only increased. Toliver is one of the many believers that this is a no-skip album and one of his most well-crafted yet. “My favorite song from the album is Tradesmen because of the soul behind it,” she said. “Outside of just that song, the entire album is so personal and heartfelt, I can’t wait to see it in person come March!”
One of the most notable elements of the album is the other singer-songwriters featured in many of the songs. Notably, the Lumineers took part in the melodic “Spotless,” The War and Treaty on fan favorite “Hey Driver,” Sierra Ferrel on the love song “Holy Roller,” and likely the most well-loved, “I Remember Everything” featuring Kacey Musgraves – a song that reached top rankings immediately following the album’s release. Social media had largely anticipated the collaboration between Bryan and Musgraves and was not disappointed by the beautiful harmonizations and heartbreak evoked in the lyrics. “‘I Remember Everything’ was super hyped up, and as soon as I listened to it the first time, I understood exactly why. It is such a beautiful song, and their voices blend together so beautifully,” said senior Anabel Shelcke.
The album contributed to the Ticketmaster frenzy that shortly followed the album release, influencing more and more people to be inclined to see Bryan live. North Atlanta’s students, particularly, were huddled around their computer screens, awaiting the beloved moment when tickets would finally be theirs. “I was in class refreshing my computer the entire school day,” senior Julian May said. “I’m a die-hard Zach Bryan fan and was willing to do whatever it took to secure tickets.”
It is evident that Zach Bryan fails to fulfill the wishes of his devoted fans, providing them with the gift of a new album and tour, both of which have generated high levels of excitement for country fans everywhere. He has ensured students will surely remember everything about these new songs and this additional album that has been added to his already wondrous discography.
